how many yards of fabric do you think i would need to cover 4 diaper cakes?

Hi, i am doing smaller diaper cakes for my cousins baby shower center peices i want to make them like this...i can buy the fabric on ebay, i just dont know how many yards i would need to cover at least 4 of these... thankyou for any help!

I may be wrong but I think those are blankets. If you do use fabric though, I'd say maybe 3 yards at the most.

I used blankets a lot on my diaper cakes. Most of the blankets I use are 100% cotton flannel receiving blankets. Most measure 30"x30" some larger ones measure 30"x40". On a three tier cake that sits on a 12" cake board, one 30"x30" blanket will just fit around on the bottom tier slightly overlapped and pinned into place. The middle and top tier have more overlap of the blankets or I use an alternate baby item like a burp cloth. If you are doing a larger cake with 4 or more tiers, you may need to look for larger blankets. Alternately, if you want to make your own blankets, use about 1 yard per blanket and that will give you a blanket of roughly standard size. I hope this helps!
