Just striking up conversation here. Does anyone have any new projects they've been working on lately?

I have several. I am making a 4 tierd stuffed cake, baby bootie party favors, game peices, and a       BOW-que for the MOM to be. And that's just for ONE of the Showers this week, lol.

Wow! You are certainly being kept busy! I hope you post pics. What do the baby bootie party favors look like?

My only project is a diaper cake that will be donated for a raffle or silent auction to benefit a local mom support and education organization. I'm not quite sure what I want to do for it, so I haven't started it yet.

I had a bunch of cakes left over from a city wide baby shower I did last year and donated them to Unted Way. It was GREATLY appreciated. They love getting stuff like that.

Here are the baby bootie favors

And the Bun in the Oven game

One of the cakes is a Duck theme. Not sure yet how I'm going to execute that one and the other is just basic pink and brown. I haven't made them up yet but when I do I'll post pics.

That bootie is super cute! How does the bun in the oven game work? I'm intrigued!

For the duck cake, Gerber had several gender neutral baby items with an adorable duck design. I just picked up some of the receiving blankets at Target the other day, but I used the matching burp cloths and a hat and matching mittens for a buggy I made:

That is way cute. I love the bassinets.

The Bun in the oven game: works the same as the dirty diaper. I stuff the little dresses with cottonballs and (depending on the gender of the new baby) in one of the belly's I place a sticker that says "it's a boy" or "it's a girl"

It's simple and fun.  On the bottom of the booties I make round decorative stickers that have the baby's name on it.

The dirty diaper game you play must be different than the one I play! The one I've played, different bite-sized candy bars are melted into diapers and you have to guess which candy bar it is. The person that gets the most correct wins. It's really gross b/c it really emulates baby poo. How does your dirty diaper game go?

Oh I've played that one too but here the most common one is there is only one dirty diaper of the bunch and whoever gets it wins. Some people make there only "game peices" some buy them from craft stores and put "clean" and "dirty" stickers in them. It just depends on how creative you get.

So with the Bun in the Oven it's whoever gets the It's a boy/girl sticker would win.
