Hey Ladies!! Im Delancey!!! :)

I have a 2yr old toddler ... Hes been having some issues .... ABout 4 days ago he got a fever, I dont give medicine for fevers, I simply nurse through them and keep cold rags on his head ....

On day 2 of his fever he stated that his knees and ankles hurt .. He would cry out in pain and wouldnt walk on his own ...

On the third day, against my own maternal instinc, i took him to the dr ... They checked him over ... His ears were fine (he had tubes put in about a year ago), he throat looked normal and his lungs were clear (he coughed a couple times the night before) and then they stuck his little finger and took some blood (which came back slighty off or irregular, i cant remember the drs exact words) but they had no idea what was wrong with him...it could be viral they said...

well after that they toldme they called in a prescription for motrin for the pain/fever (but again i dont give medicine when he has a fever but i will for pain).

Day 4 we woke up no fever but hes extra grouchy and his knees are swollen and he can hardly walk at all .. he'll take 2 steps, cry out in pain and grab both knees and squeeze!!!!

I have no idea what to do ... I've tried asking mothers on FB but no one will answer me, because i took him to the dr and I vaccinate :/

Please is there anything I can do?? Are these growing pains or are they the beginning stages of JRA (Juvinelle Rhumitoid Arthritic (sp))

Thanks for Reading!!!!!

My son had something slightly similar, but with his foot, he was limping on it for about 2 weeks and would cry if I made him bare down on it, he had a fever but nothing else. I didn't take him to the dr and I was on the verge of getting it x-rayed but it went away. Maybe take him to get an x-ray and go from there, possibly ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist?
