Dumpster Divas and Thrift Store Queens
I consider myself a thift store queen and sometimes even a dumpster diva. lol
I am a happy homeschool mommy and homeschooling can take a chunk out of your budget, I check out my favorite thirft stores to search for books for homeschooling all the time. It is unbelievable the amount of things you can find there, books that are still on the bestseller list and books for homeschooling my son for cheap. Hint to all diva's and queens best day to resale shop is Sunday's most people clean out their stuff and donate on Saturday's. I love Joyce Meyer books for myself its my little indulgence I just found a copy of one of her books with the companion study guide for 2.00 for both books Gotta love a deal !

by breakfastblend on Sep. 11, 2008 at 7:33 AMI know how excited you get. The thrifts have so much, science, and history and story book. I did homeschool when my daughter was in 3rd grade only.... she was a handfull. We had the cutest school room,I got an ant farm and a fish in a fish bowl, maps and a chalk board. We went on nature walks in the fall and got the colorful leaves and ironed them between wax paper. we got acorns and painted them. It was fun. She is 23 now and already gave me a grandson. |
