I did my first Appleseed shoot this past weekend, and let me tell you what a great weekend I had, my husband has been doing these for 2 years now. And normally he and my oldest son go and do the weekend thing, and I am here with the younger ones. Well, I finally got a weekend to where I had NO kids home wow, something that never happens, my bil called on Thursday and said he would like to take all 3 boys for the weekend. Well, please twist my arm alittle harder lol! And my mom took my daughter, So I finally was able to get away, Now mind you I haven't been shooting since my daughter was born in 2007 crazy I know. So we get there and Saturday was the first day, hummm, nice weather for shooting oh no it was a steady rain all day! But did that stop us, heck no, we went on with our event and here is a picture to show you what the rain was like,

See the rain pouring off the top of the tent, yeah, just made it alittle more interesting! So here is me looking like a drowned rat on the firing line.

me in the blue rain coat and black pants, really the picture doesn't show how wet I really was, lol And then Sunday came and with that the sun came and dried everything out, and even though Saturday was a wash out for me and I didn't do so good. With the sun shining on Sunday I did much better,

See alot more dryer and a plus I was also able to get a little sun too, lol! Here is another shot

Now remember I haven't been to the range since 2007, and even though I did not leave making rifleman, I did leave a sharp shooter, whoo hoo! Scoring a 177 and needing a 210 for rifleman, I think I did pretty good. I also left that day with alittle more gratitude for what happened when we had our revolutionary war. The Appleseed shoots are across America check out the sight and if you think you have the marksmanship to qualify as a rifleman check out the dates for a event near you and remember this is a family event, So kids are welcome to learn there skills also. Here's the link, nose around and check it out. http://www.appleseedinfo.org/

That looks like fun! We just got new rifles and I'm waiting to get some optics on them but I want to do more with rifles. We do so much with our pistols and I want to be more well rounded.

riffles are alot of fun, lol! You should check out the Appleseed shoot and see if there is one close to you. Women and children are no charge although, you will have to pay for range time, cause that is seperate. They have them across the US.
