Ive never heard of this before. And with my sons testing theyve always asked me if the pregnancy was normal and ive always said yes. i couldnt remember any complications and i never thought to mention this. at about 5 to 6 months they gave me tributeline to stop labor. and my son hasnt been diagnosed with autism but he has speech and developmental delays. wow, i cant believe this .

I too had to take Terbutaline at 5-6 months to stop labor many times.  I then had an emergency c-section because his heart rate kept dropping.  The cord was wrapped around his little neck twice and they had a hard time getting him out.  He was diagnosed at 2 1/2 and that was one of the first questions they asked was "was there any complications with the pregnancy and/or birth?"  His vaccinations seem to have brought about behavioral changes also.  Can't say exactly which could have been more of a contibutor of his High Functioning Autism/Sensory Integration Disorder but I've always wondered if the Terbutaline would affect him.  I remember how my heart would feel like it was racing and my hands would shake, but it always slowed the contractions.

I also was confused about some much focus on my pregnancy I wanted to talk about my son as he is today. But I was given magnesium sulfate and other drugs to stop labor and my son is developmentally delayed in areas of speech. He is also showing signs of autism and ADD as well as a processing disorder I would have never made the connection on my own. When the developmental specialist focused so much about my having these drugs during pregnancy I started doing research and found this site. The stories I have read are my story.
