Ladies please help!!!! I have a 5 year old little boy who is in special education kindergarten and he desperately needs a one on one aid to be with him at all times to help him through out the school day. He does not talk hardly at all and he cannot sit still and many other reasons. But the school system of course does not want to give it to him. The teacher will not come out and say it but I know that she feel the same way, but for fear of her job or the school board she will not say that he needs one. She tells me that she does not want him to loose his independence. A bunch of crap if you ask me. Does anyone have advice anything would help.

put your request in writing to the special education department that you want your child tested for special education and an aid. They have to test him within so many days (varies by state) if they do not send a letter to the school board including the date you sent your original request. Hope this helps.
