I just found this site http://aac.unl.edu/vbstudy.html today for AAC messaging, including common children's phrases and high frequesncy words for their devices.  We have been doing a trial with the Cyrano Communicator but I haven't been providing enough instruction for my son.  I hope to improve the options I am giving him by adding some of these kid friendly phrases.  These should be especially helpful in the new Social Skills Program we are implementing with him.  His school psychologist is familiar with the Social Skills Programming like that of Dr. Scott Bellini of the Indiana Resource Center fro Autism (she called him a colleague of hers), and is taking the lead in this program for my son at school  We have obtained permission from the parents of about 8 of my son's classmates to begin training them on effectively interacting with  my son to get his attention and better obtain responses from him.  This is about communication and social skills combining.
