The following link is to Tammy Glasser's Autism Blog. She is someone I came to know about on the Aut2Bhome group for families who homeschool their children with Autism. I homeschool only in the afternoon with my son attending public school in the mornings. It is my intention to return him to full time public school at some point and then rely on afterschooling for the additional instruction time I want to provide. You may have to browse around her site but she has an extensive list of topics on how to teach specific skills. It is really very comprehensive. http://aut2bhomeincarolina.blogspot.com/

I am in the aut group as well. I am doing Calfornia Virtual Academy for my HFA son who is in sixth grade.
K12 loans you a computer so we just got it all hooked up yesterday and wireless with Geek squad so now I am able to use software again since my computer's cd drive broke and cannot be replaced - it is an old computer, Gateway Astro.
I am not good with Boardmaker. I would like my son to switch from cheap talk to go talk 9+.

I have seen the Go Talks and they look like good and affordable devices.
I do not have boardmaker but have a set of PECS cards and a PECS folder my son used when he was younger. What I really like now that uses boardmaker pictures is the website www.speakingofspeech.com. I can easily get lost in there. They have so many free downlaods that I can print to use for homeschool, communication, or games.
I would love to hear more details about the Virtual Academy.
