Small Victories

My latest celebrations were yesterday and today! I had David laying on his back on an outing up in our tree-house...not really in a tree but like a raised deck...anyway my speech therapist friend had suggested working on the g sound while he was lying down like this and although he wanted to often substitute a k sound for g, he repeatedly was also able to produce the g sound while imitating the word go. YEA!  Every sound in the memory bank is that much better off.

Today his aide showed me a story he w rote about his family.  Although his handwriting is still nearly illegible his sentence structure is improving.  Very cute story about our house, dogs, cats, his brothers, etc.

Small victories sometimes help provide the incentive to stay focused and motivated.

Anyone else have small or major victories to share with the group?
