We strive to live more holistically and naturally. Most moms practice AP parenting. Things get a bit more tricky, though, when kids start to talk and exert their own power into the relationship.
How do we create an environment where kids learn a healthy respect for authority, learn to choose the best for themselves, and at the same time keep our own sanity through the ups and downs as kids push the buttons we never knew we had?
This group is about discussing creative discipline ideas that do not shame a child. The goal of childhood is to become a well-rounded, compassionate, kind, competent adult with intact boundaries. While at times we need to vent about a situation, we will not talk about our kids in any way that disrespects them as person. We know that how we discuss them in private inevitably makes its way into how we talk about them and to them in less-guarded moments.
We believe in strong families and strong relationships. We also strive to grow as individuals through the feelings and reactions we have to everyday situations with our children. We are not only about teaching them, but about learning more about ourselves through them.
