I just wanted to say Welcome Back to all who may have been away!  I'm really trying hard to keep this group up...
I'd love to see how many Ayla's are actually out there!  Of course, anybody who's read Clan Of The Cave Bear is bound to have an Ayla somewhere in their family!!!
But I have noticed since my dd was born, I've seen more of them around.  I actually worked with an Ayla a couple years a go.  And it was crazy, cuz she came in to apply with her best friend Kayla.  My dd's best friend in preschool was a Kayla and her cousin (my SO's neice) is Micaela.

Remember American Idol a few years back?  Ayla Brown was on there...

Oh, and I hate how ppl actually pronounce her name wrong.  It sounds just like  it's spelled.  If you can read you should be able to pronounce it.  Ayala, Alliyah and Ala are the most popular ones for my dd.  Do you get any strange pronunciations?

Ain't that the truth...Or when someone asks what her name is...you say "Ayla" and they look at you funny and say "Kayla?'  So you have to come back and say "No...Ayla...no K"!!!
So aggravating!
