July 4th!

Do you guys take the kiddos to fireworks?  Do you do anything special for 4th of July?
We're going up to Lake Gaston where my bf's parents have a camper and staying for the weekend.  Leaving the house Thursday evening.  Probly gonna do some fishing, swimming, and just relaxing away from the everyday hub-bub.  Not sure if we're gonna see fireworks, we usually do our own...but my Ayla's scared of the noisy ones (which is most of them!)  Is that normal for a 5 year old?  She doesn't like sparklers either...but anywho, she has a 6 year old cousin who loves that sort of thing.  So I'm hoping she grows out of it!

Well we haven't spent 4th of July up here b4 so were going to try out the ones at Timberland. Lexi my 6yr old just last year started liking fireworks, before that she was terrified and she would freak out! So we had to stay far away from the noise, so yes I think it probably normal. Hopefully since we'll be taking little Ayla out early then she'll be used to them. Lex is still afraid of the sparklers though.
