Hi - I am Rachael. I am 35, married to my husband Tim for 7 years, and I am now a SAHM of 3 children. Breanne is my 4 year old daughter and Paxton, will be 2 in July and I just gave birth to my 3rd child - Sarah on May 28, 2008. I am currently 9.2 BELOW my prepregnancy weight, and I hope to keep losing. I am Breast and Formula Feeding, so I plan on cutting back some and exercising as soon as I am released to do so (around July 9th). I am here looking for advice and ways to stay motivated. I am hoping to lose about 50 lbs.

Rachael,
I know you can do this. I started loosing after having my youngest and I have never looked back. I love having changed my lifestyle, because now my kids are going to grow up healthier too. Just let us know what we can do to help. I'm thinking about planning some get togethers so that we can hold each other accountable and form our friendships in person too. Have a great day and be sure to let me know if you need any help on your fitness and/or weightloss journey.

Hi! I'm Lesley....I'm 26, I've been married 4 years, and we have a daughter who turns 3 this month.
I'm amazed that you lost 90 pounds! That's awesome! Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. --Proverbs 3:5-6 |

Hi everyone my name is Christy. I live in Madison Al. I was so happy to find this group. I have 2 DD one is 10 and the other is 8. I am a scale phobic so I don't know how much I weigh but I know I need to lose a lot. One of my flaws is that I am a instant gratification person, I can't wait for anything. I feel that is the reason I don't lose weight well.

In your past experiences when has been the time that you "quit". It will be great to see where you are and see the kind of commitment you make especially once you get past the point at which you usually stop.
As far as instant gratification goes you have to remember that the benefits of getting healthy are more than just what you see, it's also about how you feel and what you can do. Plus you can't see how much healthier your heart or lungs are, so you just have to remember that everything you do to help your body be healthier is working even if you can't see tangible results of that. Have a great day and be sure to let me know if you need any help on your fitness and/or weightloss journey.

by Mom2Boys35 on Jul. 26, 2008 at 7:56 PMHi Everyone! My name is Jennifer and I live in Huntsville. I am married to David and we have two boys, Logan 5 and Caden 3. I work fulltime M-F 8-5, so I don't have much time to work out and with Logan starting school in a few weeks the mornings are definitely going to be out!!! I wish that I had someone that I could work out with in the evenings. It is hard to stay motivated and do it all yourself!!! Are you a working momma who lives in Huntsville (or surrounding area) Alabama. Come meet other moms!! http://www.cafemom.com/group/hsvworkingmommas |

by lovemyshugabutt on Sep. 23, 2008 at 9:05 AMI have a 16 month old son and am still trying to lose my "baby weight". I have about 20-25 lbs to go. I just struggle with the guilt of trying to wokr out with my son in the nursery of the gym while he's been in daycare all day while I've been at work. It's just really hard for me to stay motivated. I do really good for a couple of weeks but then something happens & I fall off the wagon. |
