Pregnancy nursing strike

Orion nursed all through my pregnancy with Jasmine, so I didn't quite expect Jasmine to go on a nursing strike while I was pregnant this time. BUT it's been a couple weeks now and while she has shown desire to nurse, it doesn't last long because I've gone completely dry. I'm 27 weeks now, though, and I plan to encourage her to nurse after the baby is born. It was such a great experience for me nursing her and her brother and I want the same this time for her and her sister.

Have you tried nursing her when she is falling asleep?  That is about the only time I could get my daughter to nurse.  My second born quit nursing when I was pregnant and had NO interest after the baby was born.  I tried.  :(  I was determined to keep my daughter nursing a little bit so that wouldn't happen to her.

Just a thought.  And it might not work.  I hope your little one stays interested so you can keep it up after the new baby.

Congratulations!!!
