About Sarcoidosis; A Families Disease

No one knows what causes sarcoid. It may be treated with cortocoid streriods to suppress the immunity. But, there is no cure. My husband was recently diagnosed with this disease. We began to do much research on this disease, treatments, causes, and the prognosis of having such a disease. Over the past months we have learned that disease not only effects him; it effects the entire family. Yes, he has the symptoms. But, the rest of his family suffer the effects.

This group is created with the entire family in mind. I have learned over the past months that in needing (myself ) be a supportive wife to my ill husband I
have become lost in his disease, getting treatment and getting well. Our marriage is affected, loss of work-therfore loss of income; our children are affected, even our parents. With lack of support in our own community I am reaching out to others who may be needing the same support.
