Ok, ladies:
I need your help. Many of you have been around the terminology and abbreviations of adoption for years; however, there are MANY of us that are newer and have no idea what many of these abbreviations mean. Like the PIOG from one of the other posts. ;)
Please post the abbreviation and meaning so that we can all be on the same page.
TY! he he he
Examples:
PIOG - Posted In Other Group
Bmom - Birthmom
INOC - In Need Of Chocolate
etc.

Quoting sing4jc2:Really??? I'm getting used to this and don't feel the need to correct everyone all the time, but must we perpetuate this in the birthmoms group? Aren't we worthy of a couple more keystrokes; bmom? Because I for one am not a bowel movement and cringe whenever someone calls me one.

Aren't we worthy of a couple more keystrokes; bmom? Because I for one am not a bowel movement and cringe whenever someone calls me one.Come on, now ladies.....give me a break here. Some of the posts have had that, so I was clarifying. YES, by all means, "Bmom" is perfect; I cannot even begin to imagine feeling referred to as a bowel movement, nor was that the intent. I apologize.
Ladies: Can we just take a couple of minutes and help the newer ones out a bit? We have many on here that are just reading and taking things in. They are hurting and need support.
Thank You

LOL....(laughing out loud)..I'm sorry..i had to laugh at this one. I agree though, ladies, let's get the bowels out of our systems and think of where our conversations take place. Naturally, we aren't talking about bowel movements on an adoption/birthmom site.

Ok, here are some others (or at least what I think they mean!) Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...I'm new to the abbreviation lingo:
Amom - Adoptive mom
Adad - Adoptive dad
PAP - I'm guessing NOT the annual check up (LOL); Potential Adoptive Parent (?)
BF - boyfriend
I'm sure there are lots I'm missing...... "need imput, Stephanie!" (Short Circuit)

Thank You. I was one of those people who ask what PIOG was. Appreciate the insight with the exception of someone's bowel movements.
