I had a break through the other day. I just googled the husband and wife's name and had a marriage date. (of course we were in the right geographical area) It came up on some info that some person had posted on line. We then had a bunch of info on the wife when all we had before was her name.
So, is this sufficient info (one site that wasn't "official")? Do you think we can trust that all the wife's ancestors are correct? Or do you need to look for some official records to double check?
Jambo4,
Yes you need to document all of your records. No the wife's ancestry may not be correct. I was researching by dad's line & one record had him dying in 1940 & he died in 2005. Don't trust unsourced records. If you need an help with documenting records I would love to help in anyway. I have access to ancestry.com. Ancestry has census records, birth recordes, death records, obituaries, & marriage records depending on what state.

definitely check your info against other sites or the real thing. I had a granfather and a g-great uncle with the same name, some one had the Uncle married to the grandfatjher's wife.
