Okay. I'm all about having a good time and letting loose once in awhile. But, since this is a public group, and we are a small town, DO NOT POST ANYTHING SAYING YOUR USE OF ILLEGAL DRUGS; or that you want to use drugs or alcohol with your kids present.

Some mothers take serious offense to behavior that is socially questionable. On top of that, you don't know who is a member of this group or what their backgrounds are. Some employable positions require that if an employee knows of a child in any type of danger, or the use of drugs or alcohol around minors, they are to report that person immediately.

We all know that being a mom can be stressful, however, being a mother is a privilege, and it would be disgusting and sad to see children ripped from their homes and the lives they know because someone around them "just wanted to take the edge off".

	by muddaof3ms on Jun. 27, 2008 at 1:01 AM I think it is sad that moms have to be reminded of the "rules". Set an example for your child even if they don't happen to read what you write.
	by stacmom on Jul. 15, 2008 at 11:59 AM I agree. Everyone feels like taking a "break" from life every once in a while but not at the expense of your kids. Those escapes should have been done before you had kids. A better solution would be to go get a massage or facial. It's great. Don't have a lot of money, call the Massage schools, they are always looking for bodies to practice on, and it doesn't cost a fortune.
	by MammaBear53008 on Aug. 2, 2008 at 7:12 PM I agree... I am a young mother but the use of drugs and alcohol is never the way to "take the edge off." All it does is make more problems for the parent and especially the children they care for. Anyone who love a child so much shouldn't think of doing something the is unethically despicable. I had some wild times I admit, and I still go out and have some fun, but that means i go to Magic mountain or Hurricane harbor and leave my infant with her grandma and grandpa for a few hours while I'm gone. Being a mom means you have to be ethically responsible. I may have said a lot, but that's why this is here, yes? Get a massage, get your toe nails done or a manicure. That's always fun, and it feels so good...
