New to Bakersfield

Hey ladies!  My husband and I moved to town about a year ago.  I am noticing a lot of you on here who are in the same situation.  New to town....bored....no friends, no friends with kids anyways.  So it's hard to find friends here.  Suprisingly it has been hard for us and that is strange considering how big Bakersfield is.  The only people we have met are just people from work.  I work for Albertsons so I am always meeting people....but it just seems wierd to just ask if people wanna just hang out.  It's not like when we were kids, we could just go knock on the neighborhood kids doors and ask if they wanna play.

Anyways, my husband and I are extremely laid back and we love to relax.  Considering we both work over 40 hours a week and try to save up enough energy to keep up with the kids.  But its always fun to have other couples to hang out with.  Especially if they have kids too.....so the kids can play while the grownups hang out.  We like to have BBQ's and drink beer or whatever, we are always the type to have company over and it has been really rare that happens since we moved here.  SO hopefully some of you are in the same boat and wanna chat and maby have a get together.
