Hi Im new to this group- Beginning our second adoption, with alot of questions

Hi everyone,

My name is Susan, and I have been a member of cafemom for four years now. I joined when I was beginning the journey to my son who was living in Russia.  He is home almost 2 years now, and will be turning 5 in just 3 weeks.

We are now in the very early stages of researching our options under the China waiting children program. We hope to adopt a young girl around the same age as our son and plan to officially start our journey during December of this year.

I am looking forward to learning alot about the Asian culture through this group, and hope to make some friends along the way.

Hi our daughter is Cambodian she was adopted in California 9 years ago she is 10 now. I joined the group because we lived in Hawaii for a while. I really miss it. We now have 7 kids . The oldest 2 lived in Hawaii as did our new daughter in law. We are taking all the kids and daughter in law back to visit next year.
I wish you luck on your adoption....our 10 daughter's best friend is adopted from china she loves to show us her photo book from China.

Good luck in your search for adoption. I was adopted from Asia 17 years ago. I was 10 than. I am now grown married with kids of my own.

Thanks everyone. We started the homestudy earlier than anticipated and it was actually approved last week. We are excited to start this journey.
