Getting a clean cut through sticky dough:

I like to keep cookie dough in the freezer so I can slice off and bake just a few as I need them. Slicing through the frozen dough can be a problem when the knife drags, making sloppy cuts that result in misshapen cookies. I've found that by dipping the knife in flour every few cuts, the problem is minimized.

Hmm thanks for the tip.  I usally just freeze it in a clump and thaw it first.  This makes it easier.
