"Toast Oatmeal in the oven before adding it to the other ingredients when making oatmeal cookies." It adds a nice flavor!

Another one from tipnut.com. I am definitely gonna try this one soon! I have been hankering for some oatmeal raising cookies!!!

 hummm,  sort of like heating the oils in nuts before using.  I will definitely try this too.
