Hi, this looks like great info!!  My son has these gross motor problems that persist, even with his fine motor and speech getting better!  I am always looking for ways to help him.   His Calendar age is 27 months, and his gross motor is about 18 months, so, we are doing PT, OT, and speech, and more PT, and more PT, LOL  You know the drill!!!
BTW, there is another new group just started a few days ago,  Children with Epilepsy and seizures, please stop by when you can!  I will post a note about this group there!   Diane

Welcome to this very small group :-)

We have been involved with Conductive Education over the last 9 years.  We have an 11 year old daughter with CP and we have had some amazing results with Conductive Education summer camps and hiring private conductors.

Hi, Like Andrew, I'm not exactly a "Mom" either, but I thought I'd stop by and look in.

In your CE links list, you might like to add "The Conductive Web" at <http://www.pageflakes.com/PacesCEO >  which is compiling a 'one-stop-shop' of all CE-related weblogs.

The URL for my own blog is <http://paces.typepad.com/paces> and not as currently listed.

Best wishes, Norman

Hi Norman,

As parents we unite and share experiences and the male perspective is always welcome. Thanks for the additonal links. I've added them to the list.

For those of you that don't know, Andrew Sutton and Norman Perrin are 2 highly respected advocates of Conductive Education. They both have an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge.

When you have a special needs child, it is like floating in the ocean. You will have highs when you ride the top of the wave and move forward and lows when the wave crashes over you and sucks you back. As you are riding a low wave of sadness, frustration & disappointment, just keep in mind the next wave will take you back up and move you forward once more.

Olá Leticia,

Welcome to the group!  Thanks for telling me about your blog.  I loved your June 19th posting.  To read about your children''s improvement and sucess is very heartwarming.  I don't read Portuguese, however when I used my online translator, your writing is so beautiful.

I will add your blog to the list and if anyone wants to read Leticia's blog and would like it translated into english, you can use a free web translater located at http://ets.freetranslation.com/ (just cut and paste into the boxes).

Maybe you would like to add this link to your list too.

Hi Susie,

Thanks for the link!  I also saw your generous post in the Conductive Community Forum as a response to my query.  I have mentioned your post to several parents, so hopefully they aren't to overwhelmed and will contact you.
