So we went for our interview to be a part of the CE study in Grand Rapids today. Fin loved the whole thing! Unfortunately, due to his seizures, he does not qualify to participate in the study. They were very nice and said, "Call us back when he is seizure free!" So now I have even more motivation to make these *%^& seizures stop!! We've been trying for almost 2 years, but we will keep trying. I'm super bummed though; I was really excited about getting him involved. I guess it wasn't very practical right now, anyway. Maybe when our finances are a bit more in order (yeah, right!) or things settle down around here a bit more will be a better time, and hopefully we will achieve seizure freedom by then!

Aw, that's too bad.  I'll send some positive thoughts your way.

When you have a special needs child, it is like floating in the ocean. You will have highs when you ride the top of the wave and move forward and lows when the wave crashes over you and sucks you back. As you are riding a low wave of sadness, frustration & disappointment, just keep in mind the next wave will take you back up and move you forward once more.

That really stinks! I was actually hoping to be able to finally meet you and Finlan. Plus it would have been great to see Logan and Finlan together. I'm definitely keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. The right time will come.
