What is your perfect Mother's Day?

I think would be sleep in...The have some sort of breakfast and not have to clean up anything all day. Then read or watch a chick flick. Play with the kids and DH. Have DH make dinner and clean up. :)

I think I would like to NOT be a mother for a day.  It isn't going to happen because my MIL wants to have a whole Mother's Day thing (which means I end up doing work).  I can't imagine having a day where I didn't have to worry about feeding someone.  Sigh....

Hmmm, I think I'd like to be taken out to breakfast, then take the kids and the dh home, then visit the local nursery all by myself and pick out as many plants/flowers and yard stuff that I want, then come home and work in the yard all day and let dh worry about lunch and dinner and dishes!

What I usually get for Mother's Day, and I absolutely love it, is a free weekend at home!  Not that weekend, but sometime during the year.   DH will take the girls and go visit his parents for the weekend (they are about 3 hours away), and I just lounge, stay up late, sleep in, read, watch chick flicks, organize, go out with a friend for dinner.  Sometimes I'll have a friend come stay overnight for a night and we stay up late talking, watching movies and eating ice cream.

Ahhhh...sounds good, eh?

ON Mother's Day, we usually go out for brunch with my parents and family, my grandma, etc.  A great day!  This year, I'm going to the Kenny Chesney/Sugarland/Jason Aldeen concert in the evening with my best friend.

Ok, don't think Im OFF or anything here
OK, well maybe I am a little but
I'd like to go away & be alone
drive fly train hell, by bus
any place for solitude
any place to just eat out or room service
any place to have a private hot tub to myself
BED to myself
...just to simply escape LIFE for a little.
I have 5 MEN in my life & I need a retreat
is that like a bad thing?
call it a 'calgon' moment!
....hmmmm...................
