Is it just me or is it harder to lose the weight?

My son will be 2 in March & I am still wearing my maternity jeans!! I am so envious of moms who just had their babies & look like they never gained anything. Good for them but  wish it was me too. I have been trying to go to the gym w/ the kids but so far its only once a week...that's not going to cut it! I will eventually get my workout routine going once my daughter's preschool starts up. But, man, if I could get down to a single digit size jean, I would be happy....ok maybe 10 would be acceptable but I really want smaller than that! I feel out of breath sometimes when I get to the top of the stairs. Any one else having trouble with the post pregnancy pounds?

I have noticed that it is so much harder to lose weight.  I can work out and watch what I eat.  I may not gain weight but getting any off is twice as hard.

I had my son at 36, I'm now 39.  I only gained 25 pounds.  Since I was diabetic when I was pregnant I undulged a lot after he was born.  About a year ago I was going on a girls vacation to Mexico and wanted to looked descent in a bathing suit.  I actually lost more than I goaled for.  The trick is portion size (calorie intake) and mild/moderate excersize.  I cut out sweets.  If I felt hungry. A handful of nuts, or a peice of fruitm in between meals.  I walked up and down my neighborhood for at least an hour every week day.
I went from a size 12/10 to a 6/4.  So I'm sorry to say I didn't have that much difficulty.  It talks disipline and mind set.

I too do find it harder to lose the weight.  We eat healthy especially with my oldest having diabetes.  We exercise too.  Just doesn't see to want to come off!  I too am envious of those lucky people that lose it all right away!

I also have had a baby girl on March 28, 2007, I was 35 then.  With age it has made me work harder to loose a little weight.  It wasn't hard to put on weight while I was pregent (65 lbs).  The weight is coming down now, but I can't eat all the food I want anymore.  When growing up, your mama's hips or weight gain made us wonder why?  Now we have the answer.
