Well we did it! My birthday was yesterday and my husband and I relinquished responsibility for Kaitlin's care to someone else for an entire 24 hours!!!!!! It was her first night away from us - there's been a parent with her every night since she was born (and she is almost 5 yrs old). We received about 6 phone calls in that time, questions about her pump and such. But she was a trooper and didn't have a hard time so we are calling this in MONUMENTAL success!!

We're doing it again in two weeks for DH's 40th b-day and now I feel comfortable about it.

That's awesome, my hubby and I are doing that in 2 weeks. It will be my first night away from my youngest and first night from Kaylie since diagnosis 14 months ago. I am very nervous. But excited too.
