Chewed through the tubing

Eric came to me a few minutes ago in tears saying mommy I'm so sorry over and over again.

I asked why and he fessed up to chewing through the tubing of his pump! UGH!

I thought I had seen it all already with Micheal but this is new!

We finally broke Eric off of chewing his clothes and today he chews his tubing.

Needless to say he'll never do it again, but I'm curious what you gals may have had happen that all the hospital training and classes couldn't prepare you for?

percella..remember when michael was swinging his pump like a lifeguard swings a whistle....ben has been doing it, too!!!!!!!

oh my gosh, it drives me crazy!! he also LOVES to unzip his pump pouch and carry his pump in his hand. then, if he gets mad at me, he throws it on the ground!!!!!

my kid is SPITE FULL!!

LOL I'm sooo sorry Kelly!

I can picture him doing it and the mental inmage is terribly funny!

Not good and bad for the pump but ya gotta admit if you were watching a toddler do taht in a movie you'd laugh a little.

My son, Tyler, is going to be 12 on the 25th, and I hate to say it, but he still chews holes in his clothes. He's got an oral fixation like nothing I've ever seen. He puts everything in his mouth - STILL!!! It is completely bizarre.

I haven't run across anything wierd from Kaitlin and her pump - YET!

OMG... that would have scared me to death!  Did they get any insulin in the mouth?   Did they go low then?  Or no?

I'm sure he got some in his mouth, but I don't think he swallowed it.

His Blood sugar was fine, and he didn't get sick or anything thank goodness, but it was scary.
