DS is a year and a half. He has had eczema basically since the day he was born. Somedays it's worse than others. When he was really little, we found that Lubriderm lotion with oat extract worked. Well, now that he's getting bigger, it doesn't work anymore. His doctor said to use Eucerin lotion and Cetaphil wash. Neither of them seem to work either. He currently has dry, red patches of skin on the back of both legs, on the sides of his stomach, and on one ankle. I feel so bad for him, because he itches constantly. We have tried using Benadryl cream, Goldbond lotion, and some over the counter Eczema cream, and nothing seems to work.

I have read a few replies on here that said to use Aveeno baby oatmeal baths, Aquaphor moisturizer and try fragrance free laundry detergent. I was wondering if any of you had any other suggestions? Something that seemed to work wonders for you or your LO? Thanks

My son is the same way. Here lately he's been scratching it more. I have found baby phisoderm and triple paste eczema cream and I've been using those as well as coconut oil. The combination of the three has made some progress. My doctor has said that I can give him some benadryl at night if the itching is to bad. Hope this helps.

OK buy the cortizone 10 eczema lotion, you can find it at walmart or drug stores....It works wonders!!!!! And it's not medicine feeling like regular cortizone 10 (which also works well). I'm telling ya it works great, my son who is 11 months has had eczema since birth and we tried everything and nothing helped, when we tried this it was a miracle. His face will break out in a eczema rash (both cheeks) and we put this on the area and within a few hours it looks completely normal.
