Actually, I have some pretty great news. My daughters exzema has been non-apparent for the past 6 days. This has not been the case in about a year and a half so we are all happy. You always cross your fingers and hope it wont come back. Especially when the doctors always tell you "oh, she will outgrow it"

It seems like my son goes through phases. When he was an infant, his face was always really red, cracky, and itchy. He would use his fists to scratch around his mouth and nose. Then when was was about 6-10 months old it was his wrists. It was like he was obsessed with scratching right there. We use to have to rap his wrists to stop the bleeding and to keep him from digging. Then it was like from the time he was about 1-2 he switched it up to his feet. He would go hide and and just dig at his feet and scratch endlessly. We started putting socks on his hands, but he figured out how to get those off. Now his newest thing is his eyes and forehead. Everytime i look over at him he is scratching at his eyes. Im worried he is gonna scratch his actual eye or something. We tell him all the time to stop scratching, and he just says.. it feels good.. talk about breaking a moms heart. I feel so bad for him, it's like we can never keep enough lotion on him. But then again, i dont think anything is really working. Any suggestions? I would love to hear some!

I love when the doctor tells me my oldest son will "outgrow" it. I know that I did. It is hard to deal with some flare ups. Right now I have him on two different eczema meds and citafil(sp) cream. This was recommended by his dermatologist. His eczema seems worse this year than when it was diagnosed at either 4 or 6 wks of age. I am just wondering what other moms use to help out when the flare ups are really bad. I mean to the point of bleeding and the meds are just temporarely taking care of them.

Hi there! My son started  to get eczema & allergies at 6 months old. He is now 3. Allergies and eczema go hand in hand. But what people don't realize is that most of the time it's not food or allergies that cause it, it's the harmful chemicals put into all these lotions, body washes and such. I had to use everything fragrance free. Johnson & Johnson, Huggies, Aveeno, all have harmful things in them. Quaternium-15 is one of the carcinogens in those products! That is what causes the breakouts almost every time!

I now I have found the most awesome lotion to use on my son. And its' all natural. I must tell you, I lotion him up 2 times a day, and the eczema is completely under control. I had him on steriods and this does an even better job! I didn't like using steriods on him! This lotion works for several different skin issues.

This stuff is amazing and trust me, I tried it all before figuring out what the problem was!

I also use a soap and shampoo made by the same company and I have no worries! Not only that but they make laundry soap as well! And it all has fragrance!!

If you are interested in hearing more about the stuff-  let me know!
