Well as soon as my son was born he was extremly dry. I knew there was something wrong, but they told me he was like that because he was a week late, and it was like being water logged. He was officially diagnosed with it when he was 3 months old.

She was about 5 or 6 months, she had little dry patches on her arms and on her back, I asked her doctor when we took her in when she was sick, and she prescribe hydrocortizone cream and to use cetaphil instead of her regular baby stuff, after 2 months still no breakout!

My daughter showed symptoms of ezcema when she was two months of age... she started to break out. when I went to the doc, he told me it was ezcema.. My dad had it... so i guess it's hereditary. She only has it on her legs and arms... no where else!
I tried almost everything... It's going to get to the point to where I don't know what to use on her... we tried A&D (didn't work) Desitin (reduce redness but only a tiny bit) regular baby lotion (made it worse) and now we're trying this all natural ezcema cream for babies.... Her ezcema was ok during the winter but now it's gotten worse on the top of her her legs. I'm trying the all natural stuff.....
Any other suggestions....

My daughter was born with it on her face and arms. The first thing the nurse said was "don't worry it clears right up" I knew better than that! My sister was born with it and it took years to clear up, but she was very lucky it did. Keeper was born at 8:01 pm and at 7 am the next morning the nurse wanted to put steriod cream on her face. I lost it - right there. I told her she nor any other nurse or DR was allowed to touch my child without my concent and without me standing over them.
She didn't like that, but she told the DR and the head nurse and they went along with it.

try aquaphor it is by the people who make eucerine. it is an ointment. head to toe body massages are the way to go. my 5 year old had it and my 6 1/2 month old has an active case. Nicky was diagnosed before she was a year old. Riley was diagnosed by 1 month. I also use triamcinolone ointment on Riley (0.025%) I used it on Nicky too. Once when I took Nicky in to the ER for 1 of her outbreaks, The attending doctor told me she also had eczema. She is the one who recommended aquaphor to me (she swears by it as do I now)She also said if I was to use a moisturizer, dont use lotion. she said the reason it is absorbed so fast, is because it contains alcohol which irritates eczema as well as burns. She said stick to creams and ointments. By the way she works at Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, so she has experience and knows her stuff.(i think)
