My Post Dragon Con Wrap up

First, let me just say that I am still in recovery.  We had scheduled 4 girls to cover the Big City booth for the weekend and 2 of them didn't show up.  That left me and another girl to take turns.

I didn't get to do any of the panels I wanted, however,  I got sooo lucky because one of the girls on my staff, is also on Dragon Cons guest security.  She took me to the green room to make up for missing out on my panels. So I did get to meet several folks.  Nathan Fillion & Alan Tudyk both said I looked great,  (*sighs dreamy sigh and waves hand in face to keep from fainting)   Mickey Dolenz (yes the Monkee)  had a few comments about my appearance as well.  I won't repeat them, but they would have been very VERY positive if I were a hooker.  (I get the feeling he had been taking advantage of the open bar)

Moving right along   My duaghter got in trouble on Thursday and was therefore grounded for the weekend, so I won't be posting the pics of her  Child Like Empress or the Candy Geisha until Halloween (if she's not still grounded)

I also didn't take any pics of my own (my camera is very broken) , so I am relying on friends to send me what they have.  Here is what I've gotten so far:

From Eliza Dolittle to Ella Domore  (I'm Burlesque Themed)

Gypsie Rose Dawn,  I don't like the angle on the full shot, it made the trunks look weird, but you get the point.

And no matter how much work I did on this costume, Kenton (the guy that did my hair and make up ) is a master,  His artistry made the entire costume complete

Associate Bob (from Demolition Man)  and my Pete the Pirate both turned out beautifully.

That's it for now:

I still have the Jedi outfit, 2 or 3 pin up girl suits, and a few more I can't remember right now.

All in all it was loads of fun, and as usual a costumers paradise.

I am so sorry I missed you! I checked out your booth on Monday, but apparently it was someone elses shift. And Sunday I was in the e-room with kidney stones so I missed a full day of the con...boo!

I have to say I was a bit befuddled getting everywhere since it was in three hotels on numerous floors and I was pushing a stroller most of the time. But all in all I had fun. Still sorry we didn't meet, though.

I love the Eliza Doolittle Dress.  It looks just like the movie.  Nice work.  You are very talented.  I am excited to see the Childlike Emperess costume, cuz I am a fan of that movie.  Thanks for posting the cool pics.
