A Little Bit of This and That
I am going to be taking care of my 5 month old nephew while my sister and her husband get back on their feet. Meaning he is going to be living with us. It has been 7 years since I have had to buy formula and diapers and was wondering what the average costs of both are and where I can find the best deals. I live in Beaverton, OR we do not have a Wal-mart. We have K-mart, Target, CostCo, Wal-greens, Babies R Us, Rite-Aid, Albertson's, Safeway, Winn-co. I would appreciate any kind of help I can get.
Thanks in advance,
Tricia

by WENDEO on Jul. 27, 2008 at 3:01 PMsmall cans of formula all the way to large range from 13-30.00. the baby is probably wearing size 1 diapers and they are a little cheaper for the smaller sizes. but a box of pampers is right at 20.00 and that is for about 60-70 diapers. i love the huggies natural fit diapers and if you join their club to get their monthly newsletter they will send you useful coupons every month for diapers and wipes. so i go for huggies plus they absorb better. there is such a wide variety of bottles so it just depends on what you want to get. some can be as little as 1.00 a piece. walgreens sometimes has deals on diapers so watch their sales papers. otherwise walgreens and rite aid are a little more expensive. i don't have a walmart in my town either but it is worth it for me to drive to either of the 3 surrounding counties to go there and purchase items. the ingles supermarket in my community has been a great help as well. recently i was told about this warehouse in a neighboring county that has diapers and wipes at a steal. i went there the other day and got a box of 832 wipes for 11.00. this was great because i normally pay 7-8.00 for 208 wipes. they did not have my son's diaper size that particular day but a co worker of mine got 1000 diapers for her son for 19.00 and you normally only get about 60-70 for that price. needless to say i will be checking there first from now on. |
