I am 28 weeks preganant and suddenly I am feeling as if babys activity is reduced. Husband is not taking me seriously and dr had mentioned earlier that I need not worry over this. Is anyone aware what doese it mean? Is it a cause of worry? How much activity should I really expect in a day??

Babies grow at different rates and have cycles. She could be resting more or having a growth spurt. She could also be moving in a direction that is harder for you to feel. Depending on where your placenta is located, the movements may be muffled. Babies who kick toward the back of your uterus are harder to feel than front and side kicks.

You can order a fetal stethascope for about $35 from this website: everythingbirth.com

A feta-scope is non-invasive and you can listen to your baby's heart beat as often as you like. It uses no ultrasound waves. I listen to mine every night before bed. You might notice your baby kicks the fetascope and that will definitely calm your concerns.
