I am sorry if this ends up too long. My 16 y.o. daughter is pregnant. We just found out 1 week ago. She got her first job 2 weeks ago. I told her that she is going to be responsible for raising her baby. I told her now that she is pregnant, she is working for her baby's future needs and not for her own personal spending money (like the job was originally for). I told her to fill up her car each week and keep $30 in cash to have for food at work and other small things. The rest of the money needs to go into a bank account to save for the baby. I also told her that I am going to check her account off and on and if I see that she is using her debit card for things that she does not need then I would take it from her and she would have to come to me when she needed something. Is this wrong of me? I am trying to teach her to be responsible and plan for the future, but of course she thinks I am crazy. She will be 17 when the baby is born. She is also graduating this year (2013) from high school, which is a year early. I decided this after her getting her first check and coming home from her dad's weekend with only $12 to last her the rest of the week. She ended up asking me for this week because she was broke. Does anybody have any advice that I could use in this situation?
