Tell us what involves your family in this crazy field?

My husband is an electronics technician....he works 80-120 hours a week. We never see him, so essentially I am a single mom mostly.

We are in the oil boom in Wyoming.  We moved here almost four yrs ago and my DH is a truck driver for Rain For Rent.  They haul frack tanks to the rigs.

My husband works in the oilfield in Wyoming also. He is on a Unit Drilling rig in the pinedale area. He is being promoted to driller soon. We don't live there though.

My husband works in the oilfield and offshore/on-land also and he is gone two weeks (on call) and gets 6 days off.

We rarely gets to see him sometimes. Its mostly like he is passing through! And that leaves me feeling like a single mom, but I do understand that he is working hard for us.

I do feel blessed to be able to stay home with my babies.

Well my husband is an electronics technician also! We live in West Texas! I never signed up to be a single mom lol. He works so much and my boys miss him, so days off are always a treat!

My hubby has done some Frac (sand truck). Then he went to coil tubing until he was laid off for Spring Break up. Now he is driving Vac Truck for a company that specializes in Swabbing and tank truck jobe but, soon will be coil tubing as well.I  I can't wait til break up is over and he can go back to Frac unless he ends up liking Vac truck(which it is really looking like he does. I loved the frac and coil stuff as he was on 15/6 rotation and there was salary. His new job everyday unless it rains we see him an hour or two every 2 weeks. I knew he would be away a lot I'm a Riggers Daughter but, the trucking side was suppose to be home more.

My hubby is a driller.  He just got layed off when the company he was working for went under.  He got three weeks off, and you ladies understand what I mean when I say he drove me nuts!  We are used to a week or 14 days alone, then all of the sudden he's there for THREE WEEKS!!!  Anyway, he went back to work for a company called Golden Bear.........We'll see how that goes.

Hiya!  Just joined the group . . . My hubby works on a rig out by Evanston, WY as a derekman.  He's been on the rigs for about a year now, and is shooting for driller, but doesn't want to go any higher than that he thinks.  He works 7 on 7 off, so it's nice having him home those days.
