About Food Storage 101

I wanted to create this group because we all know the importance of having a year's supply of food storage for our families. I think that it can be a little overwhelming to face that daunting task. It is a necessary task, especially with the economic hardships of today. We have been counseled time and time again to put our houses in order and to build our food storage. The time to prepare is now.

In this group, I hope that we can all learn from each other. I hope that we can share some great recipes, some great ideas on how and where to store food, and how to do it on a tight budget.

You do not have to be LDS to participate. Food storage is not only something LDS families should have, but all families should have a supply of food on hand to deal with emergencies both great and small. The loss of a job is a very real emergency, and also a great time to be able to live on the food storage you have.

Let's just remember to be respectful of each other and our opinions. I hope that this group can be of some help to each of us as we travel down this road together.

"If ye are prepared ye shall not fear." (D&C 38:30) So let us all be prepared, and help each other prepare for whatever life may throw at us!
