We went to Sam's yesterday and spent a lot but did not seem like we got as much as usual. When we lived in AL we got good deals. Here in TX, I noticed the packaging smaller and prices the same or higher! I know it is getting like that in many stores. It just aggravates me.

Absolutely! The item that brought it to my attention was a Walmart brand full meat sausage that we loved (it was as close to a British "banger" that we've been able to find). They used to be 10 in a package for around $8. Then about one year ago, they halved the package down to 5 AND they increased the price to $10.88! Since they did this, we haven't bought any GV "bangers" and I started couponing to try to get prices back down to the old "normal."

I was just commenting to my husband on the prices tonight. In a month, our cheese has gone up by yet another $1/lb. UUGH.
