Dill......

Ok I have quite a bit of Dill growing.  I am planning on making pickles (if my cucumbers ever get big) but I am worried that my Dill is going to go to seed.  It is almost 4 feet tall.  Can I cut it & it will keep growing?  Do I just leave it and hope for the best? How would I dry it without a dehydrator?

Completely clueless!!!!  Help Please!!!!

Cut the heads off to keep it from going to seed.

You can dry it by snipping the side shoots off (leaves) and laying them out on a cookie sheet.  Put the cookie sheet in the oven on WARM and leave it overnight or less, until the dill is dry.  If you don't have WARM setting, then turn the oven to 200 degrees, let it preheat, then put the cookie sheet in the oven and turn the oven off and leave for several hours.  I haven't dried many herbs but they do take less time than fruit or veggie slices.
