Hello Everybody,
I started and slmost finished a long post last night but lost it somehow. I won't try to duplicate it now, but...
My name is Toni. my 51/2 month old son was just diagnosed last week with CF. My 21/2 year old dd does not have it.
So we went to the CF Center at CHOP in Philly and the team there started him on enzyme treatment right away. He's already showing signs of improvement...he's almost like a whole different baby.
I joined this group for support. while I have put on a strong front to deal with this I am struggling with this. I have a great support system around me except for my mil.
My dh is having a hard time too and doesn't know how to deal with it ither. we're banded together, he and I but he could sure use a local dad to talk to.
We live in NJ right over the Bridge from Bristol so we are close to almost anywhere in Jersey and Philly suburbs. it would be great to get to know (even just through here) local families, as well as the group as a whole.
Wish you all the best of health through the holiday season and look forward to beginning to heal my heart that is broken for my son.

I have a 2 year old with CF and we live in NJ :) I'm farther north though. We take Kaeden to Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center.

Although I live on Long Island, and my son goes to the CF center affiliated with Schneiders Children's Hospital...we know CHOP. My son is on a research project affliated with the hospital and we have gone twice, and will be there again in March. The small amount of contact I've had with hospital staff, I love that hospital and the people affliated with the research team.
