My 4 month old was just diagnoised with CF and we also found out my 9 year old also has it.  They seem to have mild forms of the disease and I was wondering if any other moms also had kids who were diagnoised later on.

Yes but I couldn't imagine 9 years old.My daughter was 16 months when she was diagnosed and we had our other son tested a month later and he tested positive. He was 2 1/2 years old.

On the CFF facebook page I met a gal who was in her 40's when diagnosed. Her case was so mild that all her life she just thought she had stomach issues and was more sensitive to colds, but didn't think they were related. It is possible to go through life and not know you have CF if the case is mild enough! I just read a really cool study about how research is finding that the severity of the chromosome 7 mutation (where CF is) is related to 2 other chromosomes (I want to say... 4 and 21?) So that is how two people with the same mutation combination could have 2 very different reactions!
