Hey ladies,

I'm just trying to figure out the best way to save my DS car seat while potty training him. I don't want to have to wash the dang thing every time he has an accident, so any tips or advice would be awesome!! Thank you!

We didn't plan on it but we made a trip from Colorado to Missouri with our 17 month old.  We put down a little plastic grocery sack in the seat and covered that with two cloth bibs that velcro could go around the buckle.  Then, if the bibs got wet, we could wash them out and use hand dryers in the rest room to dry them.

I didn't use one.

I have heard of people buying the little pads you use to help train dogs (the blue ones) and putting those on the seat. You can also try a rubber cover over the underwear when in the car.

They have reusuable underpads that you can put in the car seat so you can just wash it if it gets wet or like Brooke said they have the blue chux.

With my daughter if we go out I have her go potty before we leave n if we are not goin to be near a restroom I would put her potty chair in the vehicle, that way you can pull over to use it.
