My daughter is two and has been doing an amazing job potty training! i am very proud of her.... when she is home with her steo father and me. however when she goes off with her dad she reverts back to diapers, and has been coming home with distrubing rashing on her privates. i remind her father every time she goes off with him she is to use the potty now and to encourage it,hell shake his head like whatever and say of corse but today was the last straw she came home and i felt she was wet so i took her to the nursary and removed the diaper she had on. the lips of her private was as red as someone had put bright red lipstick on it that was how red it was. she cried when the air hit it and wiggled to free herself as i tried to clean it. i took a warm cloth and set it on her and to hear a baby say "mommy that feels so much better" made me cry! this is not the frist time, nor the tenth time now! my husband and i are irrate about the shape she returns home in, if she does not come home with large amounts of food she has eaten all day, or having to CUT the hair tie out of her hair bc it has NOT been washed or brushed just left in the same hair tie i sent her off in{mind you this is three days she is gone every other weekend!} she returns with diaper rash, piss burns on areas that should no longer have suck since she is potty training now. i am to my ropes ends and i need some advice ladies do you think this is a legeniment case of neglect?

I would take her to the Dr and take pictures to get it documented if it is what you say. I am sorry :-(

I agree with the previous poster. Also talk to a lawyer about having his parental rights revokes. I think this constitutes as neglect. Maybe supervised visits would give him a smack in the head to realize he needs to change and if not, then he doesn't need to see her. Hope everything works out!

unfortuantly  if i was top take a picture it coiuld be considered kidy porn:( my doc does not take pictures but atleast it is in her medical file.dhr has said that this does not sound like neglect just simply poor parenting yet if this was a 70 yr old person in a nursing home they would be all over the case

I guess that is true about the pictures, but I would still be upset about nothing being done.

i am highly irrate about this. infact my local dhr office is under investigation for not following through with an abuse case so it just makes me wonder. tomorrow when my daughter returns home we will know then what action we have to take. if she returns again with the burns she will no longer go over there until a court order is in place, and if she doesnot come back with the burns than we will be keeping a very close eye on her.

That is crazy and I'm sorry you are going through it. I think that if you were to cover the "extreme parts" (ie the parts that make it noticeable that it's a vagina such as the cliteris and such) then you can should take pictures even though the dr has a note of it does not nessisarily make it enough for court because they cant see the severity of it and such. I would also take pics of her hair and anything else that is bothering you so you have proof instead of just your word. I would try and make sure you have a dated time stamp on the pics as well so you can say it was such and such day.
To help with the sores I would do a warm oatmeal bath. I'm so sorry you are going through this and I hope she comes back in great shape this time.
