ok so my 28 month old daughter just started potty training last week..

she is doing very well!! she can go on her own, both pee and poo. she doesnt need diapers anymore, except pullups if we go somewhere for a long period of time, and an overnight diaper at night.

when we are home, she just has panties on, she doesnt have any accidents, ok now on to my point.

ever since not wearing a diaper during the day, she has developed this weird red rash on her butt cheeks. its not diaper rash.. its rough and it was never there when she wore diapers.

has this happened to anyone before? suggestions? i will be taking her to the doctors if i cant figure it out by tomorrow

If it's bumpy and rough it could be eczema. My ds and I have it and out gets red and rough when it acts up.

Maybe the laundry detergent? Or if she is having accident sometimes it could be the extra moisture next to her skin. Try putting a little diaper rash cream or a&d ointment on it and see if it helps. After we put my son in pullups he had a red bumpy rash and I switched him from the white cloud training pants to huggies pullups and it went away. Some kids are more sensitive. Good luck!

Like PP said could be detergent, also depending on the kind of underwear could be that. ODS is allergic to spandex and latex so ge can't wear anything that has it in the material with out him breaking out.

Can you leave the underwear off at home and see if it clears up. Maybe it is the toilet paper, laundry soap, underwear.

I was going to say detergent too!  Depending on where you live - winter can be very dry.  We have to moisturize like crazy!
