Hey everyone i am in dire need of some help. My three year old is great at peeing on the potty but when it comes to pooping she refuses to poop on the potty. She steadily poops in her panties and i have tried to bribe her with toys, money anything and it isnt working. Please tell me what i can do. She has had trouble with being constipated and i believe that is her problem but i have no clue as to how to resolve it

Increase her fluid intake and fiber, offer her more fruits. Do you now if she is scared of pooping in the potty or embarrassed by it?

I was going to say increase her fiber too. Does she poop around the same time everyday? Maybe try to let her sit on the potty when it is that time and read a story or distract her? Can you put a potty where she hides so she might use it there?

Well it is really at different times that she poops. She mainly dont hide but she dont make faces or strains either so it is hard to tell if she is pooping till i get a whiff and by then it is too late. I have tried to put her on right after she eats but it is like it dont click. I think she might be scared to poop on the potty but not for sure i mean like i said she has had complications in the past with being constipated but she is better now but i am hoping the trauma wasnt too much

my son was scared the first time too! we did bare bottomed with him & kept the potty chair near by. I watched him like a hawk and actually held him over the potty chair when I knew he couldn't hold it any longer.

Check out the book Everyone Poops. That helped my daughters be less afraid of it. :)
