So a new craze.... going to a diet doctor and paying $20+ dollars for a B12 Lipotropics shots.

In my research this are pretty goods shots to have... they have to be aided still with diet and exercise. But they have good health benefits, like helping your liver. Which is a target for disease when you are over weight.

SO I was cleaning out my cabinet the other day  ( I use to be the supervisor for CVS Pharmacy and felt the need to buy stuff just because it was on sale or a customer had something good to say about it) and I starting thinking.... as I ws flushing tons and tons and tons of old vitamins/supplements down the toliet... Some of these supplements are in the shot compund and I used them years and years ago for weight loss. Go spend a day reading labels ono supplements in your local CVS and you will be surprised what all you discover and learn.

So I thought I'd do a little comparing and show you how you dont have to pay the doctor to get the same effects of the shots.

There shots anatomy is as follows:

Vitamin B12 with Lipotropics: Weight Loss Injections  $20/shot

Lipotropics are essential for the health of your liver.  The liver is an organ responsible for removing fat and toxins from your body, so when it's healthier, it will work better for you.  Vitamin B12 gives you a huge energy boost, which helps you to burn calories.

The vitamin cocktail included in the B12 and Lipotropic shots are compounds that enhance liver function and increase the flow of fats and bile from the liver and gallbladder.  By definition, a lipotropic substance decreases the deposit, or speeds up the removal of fat within the liver.  The key ingredients used to make these shots are Choline, Methionine, Inositol, and Vitamin B12.

Vitamin B12 is essential for helping to form new, healthy cells in the body.  It also boosts energy, helping to increase activity levels.

Choline supports the health of the liver in its processing and excretion of chemical waste products within the body.  Moreover, it is required for the transport and metabolism of fats and cholesterol within the body, which is important for the healthy support of the endocrine, cardiovascular and hepatic systems. It is a component of the Vitamin B complex.

Methionine is one of the sulfur-containing amino acids and is important for many bodily functions.  It acts as a lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the liver and the body, is helpful in relieving or preventing fatigue and may be useful in some cases of allergy because it reduces histamine release.

Inositol, a nutrient belonging to the B vitamin complex, is closely associated with choline.  It aids in the metabolism of fats and helps reduce blood cholesterol.  Inositol participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter known to control mood and appetite.

 * If you have sulfa allergies you cannot take the Lipo/B12 coctail. *

OR

You can buy vitamins/supplements over the counter to take:

option 1:

Vit B12 Complex (120ct): $8

Chlolin (100ct) $6

Methionine (100ct) $4

Inositol (100ct) $6

So yeah you would have to get a pill box and drink some water... but you need to drink anyway... and you get 3 month supply for $24

option 2

You can buy Lipotropic pills which has all the above ingredients plus betaine, gymnemasyl, guarana, l-carnitine and Chronium poly: which you can buy OTC too

L-Carnitine has long been used by athletes for longer workout periods. It is used in fat burners because it helps in converting stored fat into energy.

Choline is another lipotropic (fat emulsifier). It aids in emulsifying cholesterol so that it doesn't settle on arterial walls. It works well with inositol to utilize fats and cholesterol.

Betaine (TMG) (trimethylglycine) is a great source of methyl groups. Methyl groups can deactivate harmful substances in the body and convert them to helpful substances. High levels of homocysteine can increase the risk of heart disease. It is relatively easy to lower homocysteine levels by taking methyl rich TMG, converting it to helpful methionine, a beneficial amino acid.

Inositol metabolizes fats and cholesterol and aids in transporting fat in the blood system. Thus it is an aid in the redistribution of body fat. It helps to lower cholesterol levels. It is a member of the B-Complex group and is a lipotropic agent.

Methionine is a lipotropic amino acid which reduces fat and aids in lowering cholesterol. It can be substituted for choline which aids in reducing liver fat (lipotropic agent).

Chromium Polinicotinate: the only form of Chromium proven to promote insulin function, balance blood sugar metabolism, and lower cholesterol. Chromium Polynicotinate is 300 times more effective than the commonly used Chromium Picolinate. It is a family of Niacin-bound chromium compounds required for normal protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. Chromium Polynicotinate is absorbed and retained up to 311% better than Chromium Picolinate and 672% better than Chromium Chloride.

Gymnema Sylvestre (aerial part): People in India have been using the Gymnema Herb as a sugar killer for centuries. Gymnema sylvestre has been successful in controlling the blood sugar level without reducing it to below the normal blood sugar levels. Due to it's non-toxic nature and sweetness-suppression activity, Gymnema sylvestre plays a role in treating conditions caused by excessive sugar intake, such as obesity and hypoglycemia.

Guarana (40 mg natural caffeine): South American bean that boosts energy levels. A natural energizer!!

My daughter is taking these injections. She needs to lose about 40 lbs. I need to lose about 20 lbs and I think I am going to go and get the OTC pills and take them and compare the results. She has been on the injections and phendimetrazine35 mg for about 2 weeks. She has lost 6 lbs. But we have spent $400 so far in dr visits and meds. Thanks for this post!

I am already taking B12 shots because I have pernicious anemia. My daughter gave me a half of bottle of Lipo-B. I started feeling better and have lost 8 pounds in a week in a half. I just took my last Lipo-B vitamin today. I started looking on the internet for a new bottle and that's when I came across all of the articles on Lipo B injections and B12 shots. Can anyone tell me if this is exactly what I've been taking as what I have read about? My Daughter had gotten the vitamins from a weight loss clinic. Also, how can I get another bottle? As I stated, I take B12 injections weekly for my condition. Please help! :)

yes, you can buy the same stuff online that you get from a weight loss doctor. however if you choose to do that make sure you do a google search for the "brand" and reviews plus look up the company on the BBB website.

You can get them from a weight loss doctor too.. you can go to the same one or find one on your own. Do the same thing for the doctors... google them and check to see if they have had any  malpractices or been reprimanded by a state board.

Since those seem to be working for you... then I would suggest getting them from the same place that your daughter got them.

I am not sure if I answered your questions... if not then I will try again! Just let me know!

Would love to hear about your progress!

Thank you so much for writing me back! I called the Doctors office that my Daughter was going to, and bought the same Lipo-B pills, plus I bought their natural diuretic pills and their omega 3 pills. I hope to get them in today. I will keep everyone posted on my weight loss. Also, I have had back surgery from a car wreck, and have fybromyalga and transcranial hypertension and this seems to be helping with pain too! Thanks and God Bless All, Southerngal1
