So I was just wondering, that for someone who is completely aware of these laws, and follows them to be closer to G-d....meaning that they have complete and true faith in G-d, why do they not convert to Judaism?
I get somebody having no idea what these laws are, and following them by living a good and moral life, but for somebody who knows about them, and acknowldges Judaism as a true religion...why don't they follow Judaism?
Good question and I'm sure Pam will be able to answer this. I'll have to PM her. For some reason she doesn't get the e-mails of when posts come on here. She's really good at answering though when she gets them.

Shalom Ethan's Momma,
Conversion is certainly an option, but it is not the only option. There are many Gentiles who could be very observant of the Sheva Mitzvot but if they converted they would not be fully observant Jews. Another thought, Hashem designated Israel as teachers to all of humanity and if everyone converted, who would Israel teach? :-)
I would like to suggest a book, "The Divine Code" by Rabbi Moshe Weiner
A gentile has much to learn... For years we have known about the 7 categories of Laws but until now it has been difficult at best to learn the details. This very welcome book is the first volume of a most important work with approbations from some of the most prominant rabbis on the planet :-)
Shalom
Pam

Yes, well put about the good Noachides versus mediocre Jews.
Also for us the cultural / lifestyle gap between a Christian background and community compared to a distant Orthodoxed Jewish culture / lifestyle is almost to expansive. I know we are supposed to be affiliated with an Orthodox rabbi but I just am not ready to bridge that gap. It's almost impossible to get anywhere with our reformed rabbi. He and his comgregation are wonderful people but so different from anything I know!

I would like to introduce to our Orthodox Rabbi :-) he is sooooo cool and his wife is pretty awesome too.... part of the problem with the Reform rabbi is that you probably know more Torah than he does. He is probably not studied up on Torah as it applies to us as non-Jews either.... so what you end up with is a social club with little TRUE benefit......
Please consider joining us on Tuesday evening at www.virtualyeshiva.com in the "Noah Chat" room at 8pm CT..... note that it is not a normal chat type meeting place.... it is an actual FREE video/chat interface that is designed for learning.... there are recorded classes on our website for FREE Download as well as free ebooklets and even a few puzzles ;-)
Shalom
Pam
