I know we are not supposed to SPAM, but I was hoping you might
be able to help.....I have included our information and I can
email profiles for you to look at.......We have a large
amount of German Students, as well as others, looking for host
families...I am trying to get familiar with the German society
in the DFW area as I have already placed a wonderful girl in
the Allen area..Anyways, please get back to me, even if you
can't host....Perhaps you have some links or some others I
might contact....Thank you for your time......

Open your heart, your mind, and your home
to an International High School student for one school year.
This has proven to be the best tool of diplomacy and bridge
building between nations.
We are gearing up for our placement season for the 2008-2009
students who arrive in August and need as much help as we can
get to get all these kids into homes.
After celebrating our sixtieth year in international education
as a non-profit organization, the Council on International
Educational Exchange (CIEE) remains highly committed to our
mission: "To help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge
and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and
culturally diverse world."
Each student in our program is individually interviewed to
ensure that they have the appropriate maturity level to be a
successful participant in our program. We require a "C+"
average to be accepted and we also require our students
maintain this minimum grade average throughout their stay
(allowing for a short adjustment period). Students have taken
an English proficiency test to prove their ability to be
academically successful while attending an American high
school. Tutoring will be provided for a struggling student.
CIEE strongly believes that by volunteering their time to
community service, our students will become more involved in
the American way of life. Therefore, we require that they
participate in a "Community Service Project" (8 hours per
semester) to ensure that they reciprocate the exchange and
benefits to their host family, school, and their community.
Students are between 15-18 years old, have their own medical
insurance, and spending money. There is no better time than NOW
to learn more about our neighbors in the world!!
Why Host?
Introduce the heart of America
Unite our future leaders
Strengthen mutual understanding
Gain new insights and appreciation
for different cultures
Affect attitudes over lifetimes
Host families get a $50 tax deduction from the government per
month.
Please help us make a difference in the world! If unable to
host a student and know someone who can, contact to find out
about our referral bonus.

intercultural experience please contact Amy Larison

We have many students to choose from. Many share the same
interests as families in your circle. If you have information
about someone who would be interested in hosting a student,
please contact us as soon as you can as these kids are ready to
come to the US in August. CIEE offers $100 referral fee for any
host family referral who hosts a CIEE student on your behalf.

**Please send city, state and the high school the student would
attend and we can get you on your way.**
We have a real need for families in the DFW area right now.
Once again, thank you for your time.
