currntly i am pumping 4 times aday do to my husbands work hours but im trying to pump every 2 hours. i maybe get a haft and ounce on good days. i dont really know how this pumping thing works lol didnt have to do this with my other 2 i had shingles on my boobs and sholders so it hurt to hold him and that when the doctor told me that hell be surprised if i will even be able to breastfeed or pump because i have nerve damage that hurts all the time so the doesnt help with the let down.

How often are you pumping, and how much are you getting at each session? Oh and you are far from being a failure. Every drop counts! If what you are doing is taking you away from your happiness and your baby, I would then question it. Domperidone should really help.
thank you very much

Pumping 4 times a day is not enough unfortunately. You would have to pump every 2-3 hours around the clock to bring in a better supply. It's the biggest pain, but it's the only way. Also, a double electric hospital grade pump is best. You want to pump for 15-20 minutes at a time. Being on schedule and consistent is key in making this work. Domperidone works best with lots of pumping, if you want to make this work, you can! Ibuprofen is safe to take while breastfeeding, maybe you can take that for the nerve pain? Good luck!
Keep going! You are not a failure for only pumping 3ozs at a time. Just keep pressing on. Make sure you are getting plenty of fluids during the day, I have even heard that eating oatmeal helps with milk supply (not the instant oatmeal though). If need be talk to a lactation consult but you are not a failure sometimes those things happen.
hun, you need to be pumping 8 times a day. Why does your hubby's schedule keep you from pumping more? (just curious). Also, what kind of pump are you using (brand, style)
YOU'RE AWESOME and don't let anyone tell you different! 3 ounces is still 3 ounces and it counts! It took me a while to build my supply too. It will get better!
I love the Mother's Milk tea. I get a ton of it (6 boxes = 96 tea bags) on Amazon for $18.72 using subscribe and save. Even if you only get it once you can cancel your subscription. They suggest you drink 3-5 cups a day so it is easy to go through. I've had great results with it.
